Our Mission

The Woonsocket Education Department will provide a dynamic, high quality educational experience for each student in an environment that respects diversity, values individuality, and challenges students to become active and productive citizens of a changing world.

About Us
The Woonsocket Education Department is comprised of seven elementary schools, five of which house grades K-5; one of which houses grades 2-5 and one of which houses grades K-2; one middle school which houses grades 6-8; one high school which houses grades 9-12; and one career and technical school which houses grades 10-12.

Our 10 city schools are made rich and vibrant through the heritage and diversity of our students and community. Quality teaching and student achievement and personal growth as citizens are the cornerstones of our district’s mission.

Dedicated administrators, teachers and staff support students through a commitment to the use of guaranteed and viable curricula, research-based instructional practices and cutting-edge technology.
